What is a scatter?
Think of it as orienteering, but in a car. Participants are given a list of clues with map references. The aim is to plot the location of the clues, come up with a route, then head out and drive that route to get the answers to the clues!
Some clues are worth more than others, whether that's because they're a bit trickier to find, or they're a bit further afield from the Start and Finish points.
This event is aimed at beginners, to help them gain a basic understanding of plotting points and navigating around a route. As the route and the number of clues visited is dictated by each crew, you can make it as easy or as difficult for yourself as you like.
Entry is free, you just need the free MSUK RS Clubman licence, and BLMCC club membership (a tenner for the year).
If you have any other questions, have a read through the regulations in the document link below, and if you still want to know more, don't hesitate to contact Ian Swallow (the organiser), or any other club member for that matter.
