A weekend of Autosolo action will take place at the University of Bolton, organised by Bolton-Le-Moors Car Club.
The action, which takes place across the weekend of June 6th and 7th, follows on from the club’s recent visit to the University were the club was treated to a tour of the University’s Advanced Engineering facilities. As such the University have granted the club permission to organise a closed-to-club PCA Autosolo on Saturday 6th June, followed by a National B and Clubman Autosolo on the 7th June.
The first Autosolo on the 6th June is closed to club members, with a maximum entry list of 30. The event is designed to encourage students at the University of Bolton to have a go at competitive motorsport for the first time, at a low cost event.
As the event is designed to encourage students to experience competitive driving at a low cost, entry to the event is free to all club members. The event will be ran as a PCA, with all competitors obliged to have a passenger in the car. The club’s more experienced Autosolo drivers will be on hand to give some advice and lend a hand. Entry for this event close on Wednesday 3rd June, and will be accepted in order of receipt.
Following on from this the club will run a National B and Clubman Autosolo on the Sunday, which will be open to other car club members. The National B event will be a round of the ANWCC Autosolo and All-Rounders Championships, the SD34 MSG Non-Race/Rally Championship and the SD34 MSG Inter-Club League. Once again, entry is capped at 30, with entries closing on Wednesday 3rd June 2015. Entry for this event is £30 and all entries must be made on the official entry form. Full details can be found on the event regulations page of the Autosolo section of our website.
With this weekend of motorsport action taking place at the University of Bolton, the club is extremely grateful to the University of Bolton and in particular Dr Rory Perrett – Director of Advanced Performance Engineering – for permission to use their car park and facilities for both events.
Full details and event regulations for both can be found on the event regulations page of the Autosolo section of our website.
